LAUGHTER CURES ALL

LAUGHTER CURES ALL

LAUGHTER CURES ALL

We’ve done the research so you don’t have to.

Do you remember being a child and laughing to your hearts content over the smallest of things? And promising yourself you would never be one of those moody grown up’s who had forgotten how to laugh. My, how times have changed. Once we grow up, responsibilities pile on by the bucket load and it is far too easy to get caught up in them, and suddenly, lose your sense of humour and zest for life. Not to worry, Moroccan Natural are here to the rescue, as always (; .

The benefits of laughing are endless. From the way it affects your overall mood to your surroundings, and even opportunities. As if any of us need any convincing we need to laugh more, but, just in case you do, we’ve conducted a list of all the benefits laughing can offer.

Benefits

  1. Releases serotonin and endorphins.

Laughing releases the bodies feel-good chemicals, and thus, by no surprise, makes us feel good! Definitely need a scientist to tell us that one, but if you feel low and you want to feel better, find something to laugh at! Anything!

  1. Relaxes the body

One of the best feelings in the world is laughing uncontrollably, and even if it’s at the silliest thing, the laughter does not cease till you are completely and utterly laughed-out. Suddenly, you take a deep breath, sit back and sigh, smiling at yourself – because that was fun. That was life in action. And your body knows this, which is why fits of laughter result with your muscles being relaxed for up to 45 minutes after. Sort of like a work out – but, much better.

  1. Laughing can help you live longer

Laughing is very good for the heart and immune system. It can increase blood flow, which has been scientifically proven to help protect against heart attacks and some cardiovascular problems. It also decreases stress hormones which allows the immune system to work better and fight against diseases by increasing immune cells and antibodies.

  1. Resolves conflict

Two colleagues are battling it out. They’ve been battling it out for months. This was inevitable. Help? Find the funny. Nothing can resolve conflict or anger better than laughter, because we all love to have a good time and laugh! It’s not news, but for some reason we all still need reminding. Bring up an old funny story, or share something about your day as a distraction. Watch the tension dissipate before your very eyes.

Now, we’ve established some of the reasons why laughing is good for us. How do we get the ball rolling?

Ways to Laugh More

  1. Watch a funny video

With the world at our fingertips, it’s much too easy to find a video on YouTube that will leave you in hysterics. Personally, we found this Jimmy Fallon clip with Emma Stone hilarious. Watch it here .

  1. Play a Game with Friends

There’s nothing like playing a fun game with a group of friends and having a few drinks. Get the Sherry out and play something like Cards Against Humanity. We guarantee you will laugh your socks off.

  1. Laugh at yourself more

All the best things start at home. Being pessimistic will lessen your feel good laughter chemicals, so why not take a deep breath, and relax! Take yourself seriously, but not too much. We’re all human after all. Laugh at your silly mistakes; it’ll make them easier to bear.

  1. Find the funny

No matter what you’re doing, and where you are, have you noticed that one person who is always giggling and/or laughing at the smallest of things? They’ve learnt this step and mastered it completely. They seem happier, don’t they? Take a page from their book and find the funny. It always there, we just seem to neglect it.

We wish you lots of love and laughter for the holiday season. Drink, eat and be merry! It’s a time for joy, family and love. Make the most of it!
