Tips: How to Get Perfect Feet by Summer

Spring is coming: it means that you'll eventually wear your beloved sandals again. But - as every woman knows - you have to be ready for it - pedicures, peels, "foot facials", etc. It may sound like a mission impossible: it isn't! If you know how to deal with it... We're here to help you with some tips and tricks to get perfect feet by summer (at home).

SOAK AND RELAX

The first, fundamental step is soaking your feet in warm water for about 10 minutes. The easiest way to do it at home is by using your bathtub. If you don't have one use a basin or whatever you have in your house where you can comfortably fit your feet in and... relax.

CUTICLE TIME

Now that your feet are nice and soft, you're ready to get rid of those cuticles. We suggest using a bamboo cuticle stick or a silicon-covered one to push down them. Be gentle otherwise, you're going to damage your nails. The next step is optional. Some people prefer just to push the cuticle back with a damp cloth or by using a specific remover. Be careful not to cut too much.

NAILS NAILS NAILS

Using files, start shaping your nails until you get the desired result.

SOFT LIKE SILK

Not everybody's feet have soft, smooth skin. There are a lot of great tools on the market: pumice stone, metal, diamond or even crystal file. Choose what is suitable for you. Start scraping your feet gently until the dead skin is completely gone.

MOISTURISERS

Now that your nails are done and your feet are smooth, use a moisturizer to nourish and soften your feet every day. There are a lot of options for you: cream and oils are the bests. What we personally suggest is using a natural oil - like Moroccan Natural Organic Argan Body Oil - to deeply protect and moisturise your precious toes.

After this DIY pedicure, your feet should be as smooth as silk. What is crucial now is to maintain that softness and prevent dryness. Apply oils or a thick cream after showering and before going to bed. Now you can wear your favourite nail polish or leave them natural.

PEDICURE ON UNHEALTHY FEET IS USELESS

Comfortable shoes, pedicure and moisturizer are an important contribution towards feet hygiene but sometimes they aren't enough... Feet need exercise too! Here there are two easy and quick exercises that you can do whenever and wherever you want:

STRETCH

Stretching your calves can help you preventing foot pain:
1. Stand with your toes on a step and your heels off the edge.
2. Slowly lower your heels down and hold for 10 seconds before lifting your heel to the starting position. Repeat for 5 to 10 times. If the movement is too much for both feet at once, do one foot at a time.

ANKLE

To have healthy feet you need to exercise your ankle too. This exercise is easy but effective: increases circulation, improve muscle strength and helps reduce swollen legs. Start rotating your ankles clockwise for 10 times. Repeat the exercises changing direction.

So far we suggested some tips and trick get perfect feet by summer but don't forget to take care of them the whole year round.
